Burgerkill is Bandung based super heavy rock band which formed by a bunch of metal kids sharing their love of heavy music. Found by Ebenk (guitar) in 1995, the band started out by covering their old school hardcore heroes by the likes of Gorilla Biscuits, Minor Threat, 7 Seconds, Youth Of Today and early Sick Of It All. The band has grow into Bandung’s heaviest independent hardcore band by the time they release their cult first album, ‘DUA SISI’ (read: two sides of life) in 2000, and sold 5000 copies in the first month. Retrospection to their road into independent success model, the band had started to attract more grassroots fans which never left their shows empty. Fans are growing! However, major labels in Indo were starting to look at the underground movement and start signing significant acts. Burgerkill finally sign a record deal with SONY MUSIC (now SONY BMG) in 2003, and gain a deeper understanding on how they should bring their music to more people in different locations all across the nation without loosing their grassroots diehard fans. After releasing their major debut ‘BERKARAT’ (read: rust) their popularity among local metal bands is undeniable. Influenced wider than ever in various heavy music the band plays big shows all around the country; Burgerkill is hotter than heavy music itself in Indonesia. A written story just wouldn’t enough.
